Did you guys miss me? I hear there was some cheering going on at the First Gen. Thanks!
Let's get right down to business because there's a lot:
First of all, t-shirts are available now! I personally haven't seen them yet, but it looked good while working on it heh.
What: Rebuilding Together: Help renovate and improve houses that have seen better days. You might get a chance to paint walls, pull weeds, and/or save a house's foundation, but even more so, you're guaranteed to have lots of fun! We'll be participating in this event together, but each person needs to sign up individually in addition to RSVPing with us. Sign up here and put BioEHS in "I prefer to work with the following group or person."
When: Sat, Oct 25, TBD
Where: TBD
What: Native Plant Nursery Workday: Learn about your local plant community members like gumplant, jaumea and salt grass. With the help of volunteers like you, the Native Plant Nurseries allow us to grow native wetland plants onsite for our restoration projects. Fall is the busiest time in our nurseries as we are growing plants to be out-planted the upcoming winter! Activities include plant propagation and transplanting, seed collection and sowing, watering, and other maintenance associated with growing native wetland plants. In November and December we may be out-planting the seedlings in the field and may not be in the nursery. Hosted by Save the Bay. We will probably be carpooling there.
When: Wed, Nov 5, 1-3P
Where: MLK Shoreline
What: Berkeley Project: BP is a huge community service event that gives us a chance to have a large group of volunteers help out.
